Prices and availability go out of date
Every price, stock level and shipping rule we publish carries the date we checked it. Retailers change prices, sell out, restock, discontinue products and alter which countries they ship to — often within days. Treat every figure on this site as a record of what was true on the date shown, not a quote. Confirm the current price and availability with the retailer before you buy.
Identifications can be wrong
When a costume designer, production designer or manufacturer has stated what something is, we cite them and mark it confirmed. When no such statement exists, we say the identification is unconfirmed rather than guessing and presenting the guess as fact. Screen-worn items are frequently custom-made, modified, or one of several near-identical pieces, and a visually identical retail product is not always the same object. Where we are uncertain, the article says so — please read those qualifications as meaning exactly what they say.

Nothing on this site is financial, investment, legal, tax or other professional advice. We sometimes discuss resale markets, collectability and whether an item is likely to hold value. How we make money
The site is free to read and funded by advertising. Some pages may contain affiliate links from which we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We do not accept payment to include a product, and no brand or retailer sees a page before it is published. Commercial arrangements never change our verdict — a large share of our articles conclude that the item is sold out, overpriced, or not worth buying.

We link to retailers and primary sources so you can verify our work yourself. We do not control those sites and take no responsibility for their content, prices, stock, delivery, returns or privacy practices. A link is a citation, not an endorsement.
Counterfeits and unofficial products
Where we note that unlicensed or fan-made versions of an item exist, we are reporting a fact about the market, not recommending them. We try to flag the markers of counterfeit listings. We cannot vet individual sellers, and buying from marketplaces carries risks we cannot assess on your behalf.
