Why does searching KPop Demon Hunters on Anua's own site return nothing?

Because the collaboration is indexed under in-world character names rather than the film's title. That is the smallest of several oddities in Anua's KPop Demon Hunters skincare tie-in — a collection that is real, in stock, and, as it turns out, cheaper than the unbranded version of the same product. We checked Anua's US storefront directly on 15 August 2026; everything below is their own pricing and stock data, and the pattern it reveals is not the one the launch coverage described.

What is actually branded, and what it costs

Anua is the Korean skincare brand behind the collaboration — a year-long partnership with Netflix rather than a one-week capsule.

Checked against Anua's own US store on 15 August 2026, in US dollars:

Product Price Stock
Rumi Ultra-thin Spot Cover Patch, 55 patches $14.00 In stock
Rumi Ultra-thin Spot Cover Patch with case, 28 patches $14.00 In stock
Golden Honmoon Barrier Collagen Mask, 4 sheets $21.00 In stock

Rumi is a character. Honmoon is an in-world term. That is the naming convention, and it is the reason the collection is hard to find — more on that below.

The finding: the licensed version is cheaper

This is the part worth the page.

Anua sells a standard Ultra-Thin Spot Cover Patch at $17.00. The Rumi-branded version at $14.00 is the same product category from the same brand, with show packaging, for three dollars less.

That reverses the normal rule of this entire category. Licensing usually adds a premium — you pay extra for the logo, and we have written that sentence about a dozen times on this site. Here the licensed item is the cheaper one, and it comes in a larger count at that.

Why it probably happens: this is a customer-acquisition campaign, not a merchandise line. Anua is using a Netflix property to reach people who have never bought Korean skincare, and an entry product priced below the regular equivalent is how you do that. The economics work because they want you as a customer, not because they want $17 for patches. r.e.m. beauty's Wicked collection is priced on similar logic — ordinary product prices, nothing positioned as a collectible.

What that means for you: if you want Anua's spot patches, the show-branded box is currently the better buy on price, regardless of whether you care about the film. That is a genuinely unusual sentence.

The sunscreens are the regular products

The launch was reported as five items — sunscreens, a spot patch and a collagen mask.

On Anua's own site, the sunscreens appear in their standard form, without show branding in the product name or description:

So the honest description of this collaboration is: existing Anua products, some in limited packaging. The formulas are the brand's normal range. If a collaboration box is sold out or you cannot find it, the product inside is on the shelf at the ordinary price under its ordinary name.

We are stating that as a service, not a criticism. Special packaging over an existing formula is the standard structure for beauty collaborations, and Anua is not pretending otherwise. But it does mean nobody should pay a resale premium for a collab box — the contents are a normal purchase.

Why you cannot find it on their own site

Here is the practical trap.

Searching "KPop Demon Hunters" in Anua's store search returns zero products. Not a sold-out list — zero. We also tried the obvious collection URLs and found nothing.

The products are indexed under the in-world names. Search Rumi and you get the patches. Search Honmoon and you get the mask. Search the name of the film, which is what any normal person would type, and you get nothing.

Nor did the other character names help. We tried the other members of the group and the antagonists; none returned products. On this storefront, the collaboration is Rumi and Honmoon and that is all.

So if you go looking: use the character and in-world terms, not the title. That single sentence is the most useful thing on this page for anyone actually shopping.

How to tell a real collaboration from a lookalike

Worth setting out, because this property attracts imitations and the tells are consistent.

A real one has the brand behind it. Anua runs its own campaign film for the collection on its own channel. A brand does not produce a campaign film for a product it is not licensed to sell.

A real one is priced like skincare. Fourteen to twenty-one dollars is what these products cost. Nosferatu's official perfume has held $125 for twenty-one months, which is a fragrance price rather than a merchandise price — the category price is the tell in both directions. A "KPop Demon Hunters skincare set" at triple that, from a seller you have not heard of, is a bundle of unrelated items in themed packaging.

A real one is findable at the brand. The product should exist on the manufacturer's own site — even if, as here, you have to search for it by the wrong word. If it exists only on a marketplace listing, it is not the collaboration.

And the license is dated. This partnership is announced as running through 2026. Anything claiming to be from it after that window has closed deserves the same scepticism as an expired capsule.

Where else it is sold

Netflix's own Tudum article on the collaboration is the publisher's confirmation that this is an official partnership rather than a lookalike. The platform's own shop handles the toys instead, where the Derpy plush is easy and the HUNTR/X merchandise has gone.

Coverage of the launch placed the collection at Ulta, Amazon, TikTok Shop and Anua's own site, with Ulta stores carrying it from mid-February. We have verified Anua's own storefront directly; for the retailers, check the listing yourself, because a multi-channel launch means stock differs by channel and none of them update each other.

The partnership is also not finished. It was announced as running across 2026 in phases — a sun-care push in spring, moisturiser in autumn, and holiday sets including an advent calendar to close. If nothing currently on sale appeals, more is scheduled. That is worth knowing before paying over the odds for a February item.

The Rumi patches, the Honmoon mask, and the box not worth chasing on resale

The Rumi patches at $14. They are cheaper than the unbranded equivalent, they are in stock, and spot patches are a consumable you will actually use. There is no downside to the packaging being fun.

The Honmoon mask at $21 if you want the gift version. Four sheet masks at that price is a present rather than a routine, and it is the item that looks like a collectible.

The sunscreens on their own merits. Buy them because you want an Anua sunscreen, at $18 to $22, not because of the film. The formula is identical either way.

What we would not do is chase a sold-out collaboration box on resale. The contents are ordinary stock, the partnership has more drops scheduled, and paying a premium for packaging is exactly the trap this site exists to point out.

FAQ

Is the KPop Demon Hunters skincare collaboration real? Yes. Anua, a Korean skincare brand, is running an official year-long partnership with Netflix, and Netflix has published its own article about it. The products are on Anua's site now.

How much are the Rumi spot patches? $14.00 for 55 patches, or $14.00 for 28 patches with a carrying case, in stock on Anua's US store as of 15 August 2026.

Is the licensed version more expensive? No — it is cheaper. Anua's standard Ultra-Thin Spot Cover Patch is $17.00, and the Rumi-branded version is $14.00. That is the opposite of how licensed products usually price.

Why can't I find the collection on Anua's website? Because searching the show's name returns nothing. The products are named after the character Rumi and the in-world term Honmoon. Search those instead of the film title.

Are the collaboration sunscreens different from the normal ones? The sunscreens appear on Anua's site in their standard form at $18 to $22. The collaboration is packaging over the brand's existing range, so the formula is the same product.

Where else can I buy it? Coverage of the launch listed Ulta, Amazon and TikTok Shop alongside Anua's own site. Stock differs by retailer, so check the specific listing rather than assuming.

Is more coming? Yes. The partnership was announced as running in phases through 2026, including an autumn moisturiser focus and holiday sets with an advent calendar.

Should I buy a collaboration box on resale? We would not. The contents are Anua's ordinary products, still on sale under their normal names, and further drops are scheduled.
