A named human drew that demon. Trevor Girard designed the Hellfire Club insignia, and he based it on the Balor from the original Dungeons & Dragons Monster Manual — his stated aim was to "access my inner 13 year old." The shirt costs $28.90 to $32.90 depending on your size, and Girard now has his own licensed Netflix tee.
This is the rare screen object where every question has a real answer: what it is, who made it, whether you can buy it, and where it ships. Below all four — plus what is officially licensed across the rest of the show, and three heavily-searched objects that Netflix's own shop does not sell but licensees do.
Who drew it
The Hellfire Club logo was created by Trevor Girard, who states it on his own site: "I had the honor of crafting that Hellfire Club insignia."
Speaking about the design, he explained that the demon came from the Balor in the original D&D Monster Manual — the winged, whip-wielding demon lord that a certain generation of players met first in 1977 — and that his approach was to "access my inner 13 year old."
That is exactly right for the fiction. The shirt is supposed to look like something a high-school D&D club had printed, drawn by a teenager who loved the monster art. It works because a professional deliberately drew it the way a talented teenager would.
And there is a nice coda. Girard now has his own licensed line in Netflix's shop — a "We Go Together" heavyweight T-shirt at $30.00, with all six sizes available. The artist who drew the club shirt got his name on the label.

One buy-or-avoid note. The premium Louis De Guzman long-sleeve at $64.95 is genuinely sold out — zero of five sizes. The raglan at $29.95 is fully stocked. If a listing offers you the long-sleeve, check what you are actually being sold.
And the game exists. Hasbro released D&D x Stranger Things: Welcome to the Hellfire Club in October 2025 — $59.99, art by Butcher Billy, and it is in stock. It is the most complete version of the joke: a real D&D product built around a fictional D&D club.
Shipping, which is better than most
Netflix's shop delivers to 196 regions, all four of our markets included.
- US — 5–8 business days
- UK — 2–3 days, because some stock ships from a UK warehouse
- International — 7–14 days
A UK tax detail worth having. Per the shop's shipping policy, orders under £135 have 20% VAT charged at checkout, so the price you see is the price you pay. Over £135, duties are collected on delivery instead. That threshold is worth staying under if you are ordering more than one thing.
International orders do not qualify for free-shipping promotions.
What else is genuinely licensed right now
Netflix published its partner list in December 2025, and it is long. But "announced" and "buyable eight months later" are different things, so here is what actually survives.
Still buyable:
- Nike — nine products on the US site, including a Dunk Low, an Air Foamposite One at $250, crews at $80 and woven pants at $100. Australia has eight. The UK and Canadian Nike sites have none.
- LEGO — available in all four markets: 11370 Creel House, 2,593 pieces, $299.99 / £249.99, plus two BrickHeadz sets at $39.99 each.
- Hot Topic — 200+ items and heavily discounted, with season five tees down to around $12.
- Hasbro's D&D set at $59.99.
Dead, despite being announced: Gap's collection page returns a 404. CoverGirl — the final season's beauty partner — returns "0 results" for Stranger Things on its own site. Joe Fresh Canada shows nothing.
Two corrections to what is widely repeated. The final-season beauty partner was CoverGirl, not MAC, and the denim partner was Wrangler, not Levi's. MAC's Stranger Things collection was 2022 and Levi's was 2019 — both real, both long gone.
The Levi's one is worth a sentence because it was unusually serious: Levi's worked with the costume department and used its own archive for period-correct 1985, so the retail pieces were the actual screen garments rather than merchandise inspired by them.
What Netflix's own shop does not sell
Netflix's shop is not the whole licensing picture, and treating it as one is how most coverage gets this wrong. Three of the most-searched objects are absent from netflix.shop and available from licensees:
Eleven's pink dress — not in Netflix's shop, but the licensed Disguise costume sells in all four of our markets: $59.99 in the US, £53.99 in the UK, CA$83.99, A$93.99, every size in stock. The UK's cheapest licensed version is £25.99 from Smiffys. Two things worth correcting while we are here: the collar is white, not blue, and the dress was built for production from 1970s references rather than thrifted.
The Christmas lights alphabet wall — not in Netflix's shop, but there is exactly one official product: a RoomMates peel-and-stick decal set, 61 decals, at $17.99 on Amazon US or $23.90 at Hot Topic and BoxLunch. It contains no lights — you supply the strand. No licensed light-up version is currently buyable anywhere.
A Scoops Ahoy uniform — Netflix's shop has twelve Scoops Ahoy items and every one is a tee or hat. But Cinereplicas' European store sells the actual four-piece uniform at €29.95, in stock, shipping to the UK, Canada and Australia. Their US store is sold out.
Costume designer Amy Parris says the uniform was "the first thing I designed for the show" — and that it nearly became a pirate outfit before being pulled back for getting "too close to Fast Times at Ridgemont High."
One thing that genuinely is unbuyable: Eleven's blonde wig. We could not find any officially licensed season-one blonde wig in stock at any verifiable retailer. Be careful here — the Eleven wigs that are in stock are the season two shaved-and-slicked look, which is a completely different thing.
Also still true: the "Polly Flinders" brand attribution for the pink dress traces to a journalist's phrasing in a 2017 article, not to a costume designer quote. It is not sourced, whatever the number of pages repeating it.
Two costume details worth knowing
Eddie's band shirts came from the Dio estate. Parris: "we reached out to the estate. His wife is in charge of his estate and offered to send us vintage T-shirts, which was such a dream."
Note carefully: T-shirts. A number of outlets rewrote this as being about the vest, and it was not. The vintage pieces the estate sent were tees.
Eleven's season three jumpsuit was a single vintage garment. Parris: "it's 100% real vintage. It's a one-off — we didn't have multiples of that." Filming a whole arc with no backup of a hero costume is a genuinely nervous decision, and it means there is no version of that piece to reproduce.
One honest caveat about the official shop
Of the 449 Stranger Things products in Netflix's shop, 371 — about 83% — are print-on-demand. Tees and hats printed to order.
Only around 78 are manufactured licensed goods: LEGO, Funko, Youtooz, Nemesis Now, RSVLTS, Paladone, the books.
That is not a scandal — print-on-demand is how modern licensing works and the products are legitimate. But it does mean "official Netflix merchandise" and "a well-made object" are not the same claim, and the price does not always tell you which you are getting. The raglan, the LEGO and the D&D set are manufactured goods. Most of the $30 tees are prints.
One live bug to watch: Dustin's "Thinking Cap" trucker hat appears in the shop's product feed as available, but its product page returns a 404. Check before you rely on a link to it.
